As I remember Scout was a total Douche & Sean was a descent guy scared he's lose his GF to someone who didn't seem like a good match for her.. Kind of like the character Matt on TVD felt about Elena & Stephan in the beginning?

yeah I definitely couldn't help rooting for Sean. OF course he had his flaws too but it was mostly because he was scared to lose both his best friend and gf to a place where he wasn't part of

That was Will. He was also Sean's best friend. Scout was the other guy in love with Bella who was kinda her step-brother
