Nah the media just wants to keep Damon/Elena in their own bubble. I don't think the media cares about Stefan at all. They were rooting for Steam/Katherine when she was alive as well.

Faking It is a pretty cute teen comedy but I get why people are upset about it based on the trailer alone. I watched the pilot and I liked it. The blonde chick makes me want to protect her because she's clearly going to end up getting her heart broken not to mention deal with being gay.

Awkward was pretty cool too and Ashley Rickards directed last nights episode.

I think that probably has something to do with it- critics are often essentially online fangirls, and S/C keeps Stefan contained.

I just wish Stefan would get his own show, lol, that I could actually watch.

I rather see Paul Wesley in something he actually likes doing. I'd also like to see Nina away from the Elena character all together. Ian just needs to stop whatever he's doing with his eyes. Lol
