Trump was constantly going for short-term sugar rushes in the economy that were inevitably going to crash, and then that tendency collided with the pandemic. It's a mess. But the GOP has no high ground here.

I've never voted GOP, actually. Not once. Not for anything local or anything else. If I was ever in a situation where a GOP was running unopposed, I left the field blank.

I even voted for Gore in my high school's mock election when I was 16, lol.

If I ever had been slightly inclined though, Sarah Palin shot that horse in the face and then Trump set it on fire.
