I can think of so many ways for it to go badly. Kids could get the guns. Teachers could end up shooting students they're frightened of, more likely students of color.

I have NO faith in myself in that situation. I am not a trained assassin. I could easily kill an innocent person.

I have also never felt like I needed a gun, honestly. My taser and pepper spray are security enough. And I am baffled by those people who just start shooting the moment someone steps into their backyard. Someone was going through my yard once, and yes, it's possible he meant to break in, but I turned on the back light and he went flying and jumped the fence. Like...that's it. I turned on a light, and it was fine.
