I think they get to feel like if they are portraying this image of a "nice guy" that they are entitled to the girls they want. And when that doesn't happen, they all too frequently become violent or at the least, participate in some serious online harassment.

Yep, it's what makes the girls refuse on the podcast to call him out on it because how much they love Lee even more frustrating.

And that's one way where I definitely don't think Brooke always had a TON of care from Mark, especially not compared to Nathan. Brooke spent her time under the bus, as did Lucas (well, Lucas spent the most time under the bus), as did Peyton, and occasionally Haley.
