Well, the armorer got convicted of involuntary manslaughter. That probably doesn’t help him? But hard to say, another jury could decide it’s all on her.

Lord knows I'd never hand him more than a water gun ever again, heh.

I don't know who is to blame for the fact that he thought it was okay to point even an unloaded weapon at another person when they weren't even filming! But for real people, arguably the FIRST rule of gun safety is never point your gun - loaded or unloaded - at someone you don't intend to shoot.

Guns.are.not.toys. Not.jokes. Alec Baldwin was old enough to know better. Although the armorer really DID epically **** up by telling him it was a cold gun. Still, it's incredibly irresponsible. This is why trigger discipline at all times is important!

I can't fathom having live ammo on a set like that. It's asking for exactly what happened to happen.

How about no live ammo on a set EVER? For any reason? Really, let's give up on real guns. I don't give a **** how "realistic" it looks versus the safety of the people on the set. It's NOT real, lol.

Also, most actors don't learn how to actually hold a gun and look kinda silly anyway, lol. So let's just...not. Not worth a single more lost life.

I don't even know how we're still here after Brandon Lee, tbh. And I feel for the other actor, that was not his fault at all but he died many years later haunted by what happened. He wasn't screwing around like Baldwin, he was filming a scene as directed. It wasn't even live ammo - that's the thing. A blank, if loaded incorrectly, can essentially BECOME live ammo.
