~Weevil/Francis Capra~ A bad boy with a good heart

We all love Weevil. He is almost the stereotype bad boy with a good heart but he has it in his own way. That is what makes his character different then all the rest. So let's see some appreciation for the man with the big "hog" ;)

He was on American Dreams. I don't remember a character named Palladino. It sounds familiar, but can't place it. :)

I'm gonna go hunting for some good pics....

Heres a cute Weevil pic:

I love Francis, but I hated his character in American Dreams. He was such a butthole. I guess that means Mr. Capra can pull off anything, 'cause he seems really sweet to me.

*Stacy* 02-01-2005 10:34 AM

Who was he on American Dreams? I can't remember.

AliasUnknown 02-01-2005 10:42 AM

He played Palladino, the guy who hated JJ and was trying to be squad leader or something. I think he was killed. His character was such a jerk.

*Stacy* 02-01-2005 10:57 AM

Okay, I remember him. I knew the name sounded familiar. Yep, he died. He did a great job on that show, I hated him. He does play bad guys well, but what I love about Weevil, is like the thread title, you can see soft spots and a good heart. :)

Thanks for the info. :)

No prob. I'm Chrissy by the way, and I love Francis...even in the awful movie Kazaam.

FAIT_Accompli 02-01-2005 12:51 PM

OMG! Francis was young Bob in SLC Punk?!

OMG OMG OMG!!!

Sorry. Fangirl moment. They shall cease from this point on.

I love Weevil. "The bad boy with a good heart." So true. It's nice to see the Mars team adding more depth to some of the stereotypes that are taking resident on the screen now. Weevil's probably tied as my second, or my third favorite character in the show.

The Crow 02-01-2005 01:27 PM

Weevil is easily my second favorite character on the show. It is a crime that they can't find more screen time for him, but at least he's been around more and more. Hopefully he'll play a bigger role in upcoming episodes.

Cruel Irony 02-01-2005 03:13 PM

I just saw that Francis played the kid in Shazam... look here! He's so young!

I loved in Silence of the Lamb when Weevil pretended to be an angry homeowner.

*Stacy* 02-01-2005 03:28 PM

OMG! I remember that kid. Wow, that's crazy. I wonder what Shaquille thinks.

That is definitely in my top 3 favourite Weevil moments.

That was such a great scene.

 It's so hard to imagine Francis as the kid who played in Kazaam and Free Willy 2. I just never would have thought he would have turned out to look like...well Weevil.

He is always coming through when Veronica needs him. The first episode I saw was when he went into the store with his gang because Veronica needed some help.

Awww, is that 107? Where she tells them not to wear white after Labour Day?!

The Weevil scenes are usually one of the highlights of the ep for me. I HATED 107 but the only reason why I can watch the ep is b/c of that Weevil scene, and the Weevil/Logan ones.

Subject 02-05-2005 09:58 PM

I don't know what episode it was but I think we're talking about the same one. Weevil is usually the highlight of most episodes. I think they don't put him in as much because they realize he is stealing the spotlight from the other male actors. Of course no one could steal the spotlight from Veronica/Kristen. :D

Subject 02-19-2005 11:02 PM

Could we call ourselves ... the Weevils ?

FAIT_Accompli 02-20-2005 01:46 PM

Wheee. I just watched SLC Punk again. I can't believe that's little Francis. It just blows my mind.

And Weevil was great in the last episode. I don't think I'd mind seeing Weevil help out Veronica more on her cases, no matter how unconventional in method. Muhaha.

*Sooz* 02-23-2005 09:47 AM

Where o where art thou, Weevil? Must I suffer through a Weevil-less episode again? *sob*

FAIT_Accompli 02-26-2005 01:17 AM

I know!

It was such a good episode on its own, but Weevil would have made it all the more better. :sigh:

*Sooz* 02-26-2005 06:04 AM

I keep telling myself he's not been in a lot of eps because they'll be a big reveal or something that he'll be a massive part of, so they don't wanna overdo the Weevil. It's making me less bitter for now.

FAIT_Accompli 02-26-2005 01:50 PM

Well, we know now that Weevil was involved with Lily for a while, so it's quite possible that this is true.

I think I'll maintain that philosophy myself. It certainly does settle easier on the mind.

I loved Weevil in 'An Echolls Christmas' ... oh man ... everything about it was so awesome. But then again Weevil is just plain awesome ... :D

Superhero 03-07-2005 05:54 PM

"Weevils woble but they won't fall down."

Someone on another VM board posted that. I just thought it was funny. :D
