I am happy to be working on an independent movie called Small Chairs, with Lea Thompson, Danica McKellar, Scott Patterson and Dustin Milligan. Dustin plays my son and it will be fun to work with Scott again, who played my husband in A Beer Tale. Danica and I both spoke at an environmental event years ago, and she is incredibly smart (she writes math books!). I know Lea from back in the 80s when we were auditioning alot for the same roles and she is very nice. The movie is directed by Rachel Goldenberg, who has created some very funny pieces for Funny or Die. The film takes on Christmas day over the span of 30 years. It is the story of the evolving friendship and love between two kids (Danica and Dustin) whose parents are best friends. Takes place in Illinois but we are shooting in Los Angeles during a heat wave – hmmm, I hope the house in which we film has air conditioning!

Now it's time to find out more about this film. Rachel Goldenberg, who wrote/directed/produced several episodes of Funny or Die, is the writer and producer of "Small Chairs". And it started filming yesterday (July 22nd).

It's really good to see Scott working -- and he looks fabulous in this recent picture!!

I'd have to agree. If there are two couples and their children. I'm betting Scott plays one of the husbands.

Scott posted this picture of him and his movie daughter -- Kit Kat. I believe her name Lindsey Lamer, and Scott writes: "My 1893 movie daughter Kit Kat! What a heartbreaker!" (I think he meant to say "1993")

So excited for him with this new movie. Scott looks great in both pictures he has posted. Best of all...he looks really happy, like he is having a great time!

The movie is supposed to span 30 Christmases. Two couples are best friends and their children (one has a boy, the other a girl) end up falling for each other.

The little girl in that picture could easily pass as Danica McKellar as a young girl.

Been looking for info on the film...not much luck yet. Love the pictures Scott posted though. I hope we see some more from him. I like candid on-set photos so much better than the promo shots.

Curious on how long of a shooting schedule. I would think they are still filming

I know they are in the middle of the second week. Since it's an indie movie, it's closer to 3-4 weeks of filming/production.

I just realized that Scott is working with Lea Thompson who works with Vanessa Marano in the series Switched at Birth. How very Kevin Bacon, six degrees of separation, of them.

So fantastic to see Scott so happy again and working on a new project. Really excited about this one. Thanks to everyone here who has been spying out such great information. Now that I know a bit more, I will poke around and share anything I find. Although SPA and Lulu will probably beat me to it. Pros, they are! :o) xo
