Whoever she played the characters name was Alexandra, I'm guessing that's the planner since she's the only one not listed on imdb.

crazyboutscott 03-27-2008 03:17 PM

Wow I had not idea EH daughter or Liza's sister were ever on GG. I will have to go back and check these things out. Is there any where to go to learn GG trivia, that would be a fun site to visit.

lulu1960 03-27-2008 03:25 PM

If EH's daughter played Alexandria then she did in fact play a bridesmaid. I looked up the transcript. Alexandria was the bridemaids with the shorter redish hair who said she was with Trip now. Not Walker the blond tipsy one or the dark haired one that said she looked like a drag queen.

damselfly 03-27-2008 03:27 PM

Ed's daughter, Ryen Herrmann, played Alexandra, who was one of Honor's bridesmaids. She wore the green sweat suit in the bride's room.

lancer1993 03-27-2008 04:27 PM

I remember something about Ed's daughter, so long since I've seen those eps.

crazyboutscott 03-27-2008 06:25 PM

That is another episode I will have to check out.

SPA 04-01-2008 08:41 AM

Is she an accredited actress?? I'll have to rewatch that episode as well. Thanx, Damselfly.

April 2nd:

This just in from MA -- For what it's worth:

Question: So now that AS-P's new show is kaput, what do you think are the odds she'll start getting serious about a Gilmore Girls movie? — Leila

Ausiello: Your guess is as good as mine. For the record, my guess is in the neighborhood of 40-1. I imagine Team P has a fair amount of wound-licking to do before they dive back into TV.

lancer1993 04-03-2008 02:22 PM

Thanks for that SPA

I would think the odds are higher, depending on this other movie she has in the works.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could make a 2 hour TV movie each year for the next few years :D

OT - I recently saw "Her Best Move" and Scott was great if a little hard but that's the character he was playing. Also I got my hands on SAW4 but I still have 1-2-3 to watch, movie marathon may be in call!

SPA 04-06-2008 08:15 AM

I've researched the internet last night and cannot find any updates on the Palladino "twins" Do they reside in NY or LA or both? Well, I can't find any new news on the GG movie.

You're welcome, Lancer. I'm beginning to like MA less and less each week. Need another or a different source or Hollywood news. He just irritates the crap outta me. And I love HBM -- great family character for him -- I liked Saw for different reasons though -- intense drama for Scott.

lulu1960 04-06-2008 09:30 AM

I think they live in LA but went to NY for Jezebel James, and set up shop.

This is why they mess up some of the things that actually happen in Connecticut :P

I doubt there will be much information on a movie anytime soon as Amy is still in New York working on the Sarah Jessica Parker/HBO project.

Bet there is a lot of pressure on Amy after ROJJ flopped , SJP is a bigger name but will it be big enough?

maybe she'll get her mojo back and work on Gilmore movie after this project is done.

crazyboutscott 04-08-2008 09:52 AM

What project is ASP doing with SJP?

damselfly 04-08-2008 10:54 AM

I believe it's an HBO movie based on the book The Late Bloomer's Revolution. SJP will star in it, and ASP is writing the screen play and directing - it's her film directing debut.

crazyboutscott 04-08-2008 11:10 AM

Thank you for the info damselfly

There´s no day I don´t pray for a GG movie...It´s the last chance we could get to see some sort of LL´s middle. Like most of you already said, I´d love to see their wedding :sigh: Flashbacks would be fair enough to me! But I´m trying to not have high hopes, ´cause being disappointed again is the last thing I need about GG :(

Thanks for the info...Looks like ASP is busy again :pout: Well, maybe after this, she´ll be willing to do another movie for HBO...with Scott and Lauren in it this time :D

Ohhh, and you knwo what I´d kill to see the most? Luke and Lorelai as parents, pleaseeeeee...Can you picture Scott holding a baby while Lorelai looks at him amazed :sigh: Kinda what happened in 7.10, but this time no Dopey in the pciture! and it will be their own baby :thud:

A girl can dream, right?

lulu1960 04-08-2008 02:47 PM

That's okay Caro, I think we all would like to see a GG movie, showing us some kind of middle for L/L.

I remember reading about ASP's directing debut with SJP. A GG project after that would be great, if it were to happen. Didn't Dan say a year or two down the road?

lancer1993 04-08-2008 03:13 PM

Luke and Lorelai (Scott and Lauren) on HBO  thud: can't wait!

SPA 04-08-2008 04:20 PM

I like the idea of an HBO movie or mini-series. Lots and lots of breathing room. I bet it's attractive to ASP too.

A mini-series would be great also :thud: Really, ASP needs to reconsider her priorities...Thousands of fans would love to see more of GG!

 That´s what I recall from his interview...I really hope they don´t wait more than 2 years...or worst, put it off forever :(

More that 1000's I'd hope!

At this point I think the hardest thing will be getting the leads it the one place at the same time some maybe something needs to be booked well in advance first.

SPA 04-12-2008 03:05 PM

I still don't see any news yet. And I really don't see how a movie/mini-series is going to work 2-3 years after the ending of Season 7. It it does, it will be nice to see our characters again -- however, it will be little solace to all those who stayed loyal to the series for over seven years. Some will like it just because L/L are back together -- others will say that we were cheated and this is the consolation prize. My fear is that if a movie/mini-series is made, it will have story lines totally different from the "build-up" of GG seasons 1-6. I guess we'll just have to wait and see -- the "wait and see'ers" Amy will definately need to pull a couple of rabbits out of one of her ostentatious signature hats.

I brought this find from another poster elsewhere. Thought it would be an interesting read. Hard to gauge Lauren on this.

I have to ask about the “Gilmore Girls” movie.
A movie?

Or a reunion? A reunion-movie? Is there going to be any reunion of any sort?
Well no one has spoken about it. I think the “Sex and the City” movie has ruined... a TV show can’t just end now. It’s implied that there’s got to be more. It never was an actual consideration, just a very sweet idea that came (it seems to me) from people who were sad the show ended and maybe sad the way it ended.

So is there anything you would have done differently if you had known it was the absolute end?
I had an idea it was going to be over because we had been negotiating. For both of us it was so many things. Could we get a significant raise, which neither of us had during those seven years? But, it was also about how we could guarantee the quality of the show. It was a lot of things together… financial, creative control and producers… Also, for most of that year, I was like “It’s done.” The show itself was telling us the story was over. It was actually just yesterday that Alexis sent me a text saying that it’s been a year since the show ended, but I really think we did the right thing.

After I was told, I learned that not only crew and producers, but other actors didn’t get called and people were upset with me in some cases. I would have handled that differently, even in terms of the wrap party being a thank you and goodbye instead of a “have a great summer.” You know, Ed Herrmann, who played my dad, walked into his video store in Connecticut and the girl at the counter said. “I’m sorry your show’s over.” and he was like “It is?”

I’ve seen enough “Behind the Music” -- or whatever the version about TV is called -- and I remember Joyce DeWitt talking about the end of “Three’s Company” and that nobody told her that is was over.
Sorry for the double post, but it's a week apart.

lulu1960 04-23-2008 07:11 PM

I saw that too.

It really did suck how it ended. Just because a person has a vague notion that it is a strong possibility that the show was over, I think that TPTB didn't let the people know that it was a done deal..

Being unfamilar with the inner workings of a tv show, who ultimately would be in charge of letting the cast and crew know?
Sounds to me someone in the high ups would tell each department head and they in turn would tell their crew.
As for the actors, each one should have gotten a personal call. Especially the main cast. What's that 10 or 15 people.

I think people got mad at Lauren because she was the star of the show.

As for a movie, it just sounds like a nice dream. I really think Amy just through it out there, not really being 100% serious.

Sort of a "Wouldn't it be nice, sometime down the road" A definite maybe.
