Winnie Foster/Tuck Everlasting Appreciation
Banner by go_clo TUCK EVERLASTING (2002) Tuck Everlasting is the story of a girl named Winnie and a family who she meets, the Tucks. The Tucks have a secret, they're immortal. They drank water from a spring that was actually a fountain of youth. Till the end of time, they will stay that way. Winnie falls inlove with one of the Tucks, Jesse, a "17" year old boy who shares the same feelings for her. Scared of death, Winnie must choose between being immortal and being with Jesse or following the circle of life and dying someday. The Tucks try to teach her how she shouldn't fear death, how they would give anything to die. It teaches the importance and understanding of life and death. It shows that you should not fear death, but to fear an unlived life. (from imdb.com) Cast : Alexis Bledel .... Winifred 'Winnie' Foster William Hurt .... Angus Tuck Sissy Spacek .... Mae Tuck Jonathan Jackson .... Jesse Tuck Scott Bairstow .... Miles Tuck Ben Kingsley .... Man in the Yellow Suit Amy Irving .... Mother Foster Victor Garber .... Robert Foster Supporters 01. ~Phoenix~ 02. lakers0604 03. autumn_hope This is probably my favorite role of Alexis. I loved the interaction between her and Jonathan Jackson and the whole movie was so heartwarming. I also felt that Alexis was in a presence of a great cast too. It's a cute movie. I enjoyed Alexis in it. I haven't seen it since the movie first came out. I should watch it again.

Yeah, it was cute. She was really good at acting young. I mean, Rory was 15 (I think) when Gilmore Girls first started, but she acted older than Winnie did. I like this movie, but the book was cooler.

This is the only role (except of Rory of course!) that I've seen Alexis in and I think she did an excellent job!
I've never read the Tuck Everlasting book, but I loved the movie! And I agree with Belle, it was incredibly heartwarming and the cast was fantastic! I've seen the movie last year and I've been thinking of buying it on DVD. __________________

Hello!
I loved this movie. I watched it a few months ago and felt so down after I saw it. I mean, I have no idea what would I do if I had a choice to live forever with him - the person of my dreams or just to live my life. I really don't know. I have never been really in love so I don't know how it feels and don't know if it's easy just to say no. But this movie was so moving and touching that I would love to see it again |

My favorite quote of the movie has to be: "Don't be afraid of death. Be afraid of the unlived life."
This movie made me think a bit, and it's so beautifully made. __________________

I love this movie, so heartwarming and touching. Alexis is so beautiful in this movie, her and JJ have such chemistry. My favorite scene is where Jessie and Winnie are by the fire and Winnie is dancing. So sweet.
I just got done watching it again on StarzFamily, and it dawned on me how it related to Gilmore Girls. Her name is Winnie Foster (Foster as in Dean Foster, Rory's first boyfriend) and she fell in love with a boy name Jessie (was called Jess a few times in the movie) Tuck (Rory then fell for bad boy Jess) I just thought how the names were close to her role as Rory. __________________
