One night during the winter festival in Stars Hollow, Rory went on a date with Marty. They shared their hot chocolate with a friend who was cold. At first she was nervous because Lorelai found her new book about NYC in the closet and she thought Lorelai would be mad. She talked to Lane about her dreams to travel and see the world. Marty was surprised when they told him that Luke wanted to talk to him about Rory. He agreed to go to Luke's but was stopped by Paris. She yelled stop and scared all the children but then Kirk ran over to the park. "We followed a line of ants" said Sookie. Rory laughed at Taylor because he was chasing Luke around while Kirk sang showtunes from Rent and Wicked. Taylor stomped off the square when fireworks shot through the sky toward Taylor's shop. The townspeople gasped when they hit the ice sculptures with sparks so hot that they couldn't stay outside. Rory screamed for help, but no help from anywhere came so she decided to take off to Chilton where Lorelai was having fight with Paris about Rory's essay on coffee. Paris got annoyed when the sentences from her coach were mumbled and she went to search for some biscuits. You better watch out for the dog before it goes and pees on Luke's leg. Luke sat on a big couch and drank lemonade. Why do we have to see the lights at the diner on the bay. When he saw a man who looked like a doctor he rushed to greet Christopher but then Rory stopped because her ankle hurt from falling off the side of a car. They rested at a hotel and decided to eat some chocolate instead. Lorelai screamed "The ice cream man!", then ran home.
