That's a great way to spend the weekend. Did you finish it? (I did!)

I keep crying while I'm reading...so my eyes get blurry and that slows my reading process down

I have cried three times to books, The Notebook, The Last Song and THG TLS really hit me though because losing a parent I don't want to go through that ever.

I remember feeling shocked and possibly teary eyed during THG, but to actually be legit crying....this seems like a first for me.

Yeah, I don't remember actually crying during THG but there were certainly many emotional and shocking scenes.

The last book I've cried over was The Fault in Our Stars. During the last few chapters I hardly saw what I was reading from all the tears.

If you don't mind depressing books, sure.

Happy Easter!

It's a good book, though, but you have to be in the mood for it.

Here's the blurb, Missy:
Quote:
Diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 13, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs... for now.

Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.

Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.
