First of all, I would like to thank everyone who posted some great suggestions so we can improve the board and make it more enjoyable for everyone :)

We would like to know with the help of the Poll which game you think would suit the board amongst the current ones that we have.

We would appreciate your vote on which one would be the best/most suitable/more enjoyable, etc. Your choice! :)

Thank you,

Your Info Center Moderators,
Chris, Lindsay and Vicki.

 all

We'd like your help shaping the future of the Info Center board. We're thinking that it might be time to review some of our threads. Currently we have:
Do you like our current games? Do you have any suggestions for different games? Maybe:
  • Thought Of The Day
  • Name that Quote
  • Say something that's related to previous word above you.
  • Favourite Gifs at the moment? or would these fit on our current pictures thread?
  • Other suggestions?

    Suggestions:
  • Random Fact about you. (Suggested by Lr_Roxy)
  • Ask the poster below you to more of a Hot Seat thread (Suggested by Millie Mae)
  • Change Testimonials thread to 'You know you're obsessed with :ff: when .. (suggested by broken melody)
  • 'what song are you listening to' or 'what movie/TV show are you watching' (suggested by broken melody)
  • allow more than one guess at Name the Board - (Suggested by Millie Mae)

We'd like to limit the games to no more than 5 so that the help and information threads don't get lost. Once we get some feedback here, we could start a poll to see which games we should have at the board.

The Deadline is 20th February. :)

Looking forward to your input!

Thanks for getting this started Vicki. :flowers:

Looking forward to hearing everyone's input on this. :)

"Random Fact About You" would be a good thread to have here. It would go along with the theme of introductions/getting to know you.

Great idea!
I like it. It goes along great with that theme. Thank you, Cece.

You're welcome, Lindsay :flowers:
Looking forward to reading everyone's input. Don't be shy :)

Cece - that's a great suggestion

Thanks for getting this started Vicki.

Will we edit suggestions into the OP to keep track of them?

Being that it's a board also intended to welcome newbie's, what about a "you're in the HotSeat type of game thread?

This would allow newbies, fellow posters and even a few that might be lurking to get to know us and our new :ff: members more.

Although I would suggest some alterations, like each poster can only ask one question and when ten have been asked, and the person in the hot seat has answered them, then we move on to the next person on the list.

BlackSapphire 02-07-2016 07:12 AM

^ That's a good idea. Although, I feel that it would decline as we don't seem to get many newbies on the http://www.fanforum.com/f20/find-you...help-63135376/ these days. What do you think Chris and Lindsay?

Yes, indeed.

No problem, Chris. Yes, add all to OP.

Mi||iê Måë 02-07-2016 07:14 AM

Good Point, it can be adjusted to Ask the Poster Below you. So each poster answers the question posted and then posts a new one to whomever is next to post. :wiggle:

BlackSapphire 02-07-2016 07:19 AM

That seems better
I'll add it to the OP. Thanks, Millie :) What do you think about the other ideas?

Mi||iê Måë 02-07-2016 07:31 AM

I like the random fact idea a lot, gets you thinking more about yourself and what you have or have not shared about yourself.

And not to be annoying but my name is misspelled in the OP, it's Mae, not 'May'...

BlackSapphire 02-07-2016 07:33 AM

^ Yes, I think that thread would be fun too.
Oops sorry, it's because I'm not used to the spelling it 'Mae' in England  My apologies.

We do have a The Poster Below Me thread, :) Although I suppose we can tweak it a bit. :)

^^ Yeah rather than just simple phrases in relation to :ff:, they can be more like 'hot seat' questions is the idea.

I must admit I don't really play the current games, except maybe for TPBM. I like 'Name That Board' (even if I don't play it) because I think it's a great way of discovering boards. I often hear from new posters that it takes them a while to discover all the boards, so any game that helps them do that is good I think. I don't really see the point of 'what smiley sums up your mood', I think a better game would be 'what's on your mind' as you get to say more than just a smiley.

As for the getting to you know threads, I love the idea of 'testimonials' and while I enjoy reading what other posters have to say about :ff:, I feel that's it a thread you don't post in on a regular basis. So maybe that one could be changed to something like 'you know you're obsessed with :ff: when..' so you can come back and post in the thread more often.

I also enjoy game threads like 'what song are you listening to' or 'what movie/TV show are you watching'. I think they're a nice way of seeing what you have in common with other posters.

The "What smilie sums up your mood" is one of our active game threads here. I noticed that newbies are excited to increase their post counts so this thread helps (and it's also a way for them to play around with the smilies). I also like the "Name the Board" game but it appeals mostly to long-time posters more than newbies and that thread has been inactive for sometime, sadly.

I like this too. Testimonials are great but I feel like after some interest, the thread could be inactive soon.
