Fan Forum's 24th Anniversary! Moderators & Members Appreciation Week!
On November 25th, 1998, Goldenboy designed a website which would be a place for fans to discuss their favorite television shows. The first forum added was for Dawson's Creek. In the beginning we hosted websites such as "Dawson's Creek Headlines" and "Crashdown" which provided the latest news and information about shows like Dawson's Creek and Roswell. During its history, Fan Forum has been involved in campaigns to save shows such as Roswell, and we even had visits from actors from some of the shows that we had forums for. There has also been meet-up occasions where fans came together to celebrate their passions in person. Many Fan Forum members have also met in real life and found friends in this community, and a few even got married!
In the twenty-four years since then, Fan Forum has grown and evolved. At one point we went from hosting websites and being a news source to simply being a place to provide forums to discuss a wide range of entertainment topics. Some things that set Fan Forum apart from other websites are how the members vote in the forums that they want added, how each forum has its own unique look focused on those topics, and our longevity. Even after all this time, Fan Forum is still a unique place run by fans where fans can come together and talk about entertainment related topics with other fans who share the same passion for these topics.
Our long history and continuing growth is only possible due to of all of you. We have many dedicated people who have volunteered their time to run the website, who moderate forums, support forums when the permanent moderators are away, promote the website and various events happening around on the forums, artists who have helped provide a unique look to each one of the forums, and every single poster who has come here to share and discuss their passions. There have been so many people who over the years have devoted their time, creativity, and passion to this website and this week is to celebrate all of them. We appreciate every single person who has helped make Fan Forum what it is today and who've helped to ensure that we continue to remain a wonderful place for fans to share their passion with other fans.
Each year on the anniversary of Fan Forum's creation, we create this thread to thank everyone who has helped to shape this website over the years. It is because of you that we are what we are today. Happy Fan Forum Moderators and Members Appreciation Week!

I’m so happy and proud that we still have Fan Forum as our home on the Internet on this, our 24th Anniversary. Being the Administrator of Fan Forum is a labor of love for me, and I’m so grateful to everyone who plays a part in the continuing success of this website, from the Management Team, to the Moderators, to the members of the various teams here, and most of all, to the members of this website who come here to talk about their favorite interests. Happy Anniversary to ! Thanks to the administrators, managers and our posters for keeping this forum going through all these years.  To the management team, thanks for all your hard work in keeping this site up and running and for carrying out on our duties here so can continue to thrive.
Also thanks to our wonderful moderators who take time out of their busy lives to moderate and keep a good atmosphere on the boards. And also thanks to our loyal posters who continue to make this forum an amazing site to go to and talk about our favorites.

Happy 24th Anniversary to Fan Forum!
It's been a privilege being part of this fantastic site for the past 14 years, in almost all its parts at one point or another! And it's been more of a privilege working with everyone involved in the different teams and on the boards.
I want to thank everyone who's ever been part of making this place an online home for so many.
From the administrators and managers who coordinate the different teams and make sure that Fan Forum continues to be the unique, versatile and diverse place that it is today. To the moderators who keep the atmosphere on the different boards as inviting, fun and engaging as need be.
And of course, to the posters who, without them and their passion for their fandoms, this site would not be still be here today.
As part of the Communications Team with an eye frequently on the online community in general, I've seen how fast interest in fandoms and in keeping a site or forum running can go down. So the fact that Fan Forum, after 24 years, still has such an amazing and dedicated community that cares about keeping it around, is definitely something to be proud of and celebrated.

I would like to start of thanking FanForum as a whole concept. It gave me the space to be myself. It gave me a platform to develop opinions of my own. It gave me some of my best friends whose friendship I treasure deeply and will as long as I live. Secondly I also want to thank the administrators, managers, moderators and posters for keeping this a safe and fun place over the years. Your daily enthousiasm truly keeps this little place on the internet alive, and I'll always be grateful for that.

I stumbled across this place by accident, then was encouraged to join by a good friend. In a few months she'd found a welcoming community, & so did I. I've had many roles here, & there are some amazing people on here who I consider friends even if I've never met them & live on the other side of the world. This website is more than just a place for fans to discuss their favourite shows, it is a welcoming & safe place, & a family. I'm glad to have found it & am always amazing at how long it has been around & continues to grow & be here. Happy anniversary Fan Forum! Fan Forum to me means friendship, it means connections, fun and creativity. Throughout my time at FF I have met so many wonderful people and had great experiences. I would very much like to express my thanks to everyone involved. All the dedicated mods, every member of the different teams who spend their time promoting FF, making it a prettier place, temp modding and so many other things. Also, to every manager who devotes their time to Fan Forum to make it run as smoothly as possible. And of course, each and every poster who keeps the forums alive and thriving. Did You Know...?
Dawson's Creek was added in November 1998, making it the oldest and longest running forum. Celebrating 24 years with us this month!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Movies, and Music were all added by January 1999, making them some of our oldest forums too. Buffy the Vampire Slayer has since merged with the Angel board becoming the Buffy and Angel board that we see today. They will all be celebrating 24 years in the new year!
Jason Behr, Shiri Appleby, and Joshua Jackson were added in September/October 2000, making them the oldest current Celebrity forums. Celebrating 22 years this year!
Harry Potter was added between June and November 2001, making them the oldest current Sci-Fi/Fantasy forum. Celebrating 21 years this year!
Not long after, Star Trek which was added in December 2001. They will be celebrating 21 years next month!
Smallville was added between November 2001-August 2002, making them the oldest current DC & Marvel forum. Celebrating 20 years this year!
The Avengers, now known as Marvel Cinematic Universe, was added in July 2012, while Arrow was added in August 2012. Both forums celebrated 10 years this year!
Kelly Clarkson was added in March 2005, making them the oldest current Music Artist forum. They celebrated 17 years early this year!
Another board for an American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, was added in December 2007. They will be celebrating 15 years next month!
Criminal Minds was added in January 2008, and with their recent move back to the TV Shows - Present category, this makes them the oldest forum in that category. They will be celebrating 15 in the new year!
The second oldest TV Shows - Present forum is NCIS Franchise was added in June 2009 (originally as the NCIS forum). They celebrated 13 this year!
The following forums have over ONE MILLION posts: One Tree Hill, Off Topic, Spoilers, Couples, Heroes, Twilight Saga, and Television & Reality TV!
One of our most recently added forums, House of the Dragon, will be celebrating 10,000 posts already! It was only just added in September 2022!
