Lovely flowers!

Speaking of birds, I occasionally see a sparrowhawk in the garden, and here's one I photographed the other day. He stayed a long time as he'd caught a bird. Luckily, I couldn't really see the poor creature, and I just focused on the sparrowhawk. As usual, I had to take the photo through the window, but this time I managed to slowly open it and lean over to take pics through the gap. As the bird is a small bird of prey, and wasn't near the window, I've had to crop the photos a lot, and I couldn't get a sharp image unfortunately.

Julie - cool hawk pictures. A few times now we've had one feasting in our yard too. I don't feed the birds to plump them up for a hawk, but I guess it's all the circle of life.

Thanks, everyone, about the tulip pics.

Amazing sparrowhawk pics, Julie. I've only seen one sparrowhawk in my life. I had to look it up in my bird book to identify it.
