We have a baby albino starling, who's just started coming into our garden. We've never seen one before, and it's so adorable. I took some photos yesterday and today in the front garden, as it was being fed.

Please note that I had to take the photos through the window, and also I only have a standard lens on my camera, so I couldn't zoom in well or get sharp pictures. I had to alter them and crop them. Plus the quality is reduced through re-sizing on Photobucket.

Great photo! Do these birds come by your garden everyday? I know lots of birds come by our backyard because of our huge tree. It's very relaxing to hear them chirp in the afternoon.

Thanks Lindsay! Yes, the birds visit everyday. We also get blackbirds, pigeons, sparrows and other types of birds. That's great you get lots of birds too!

Thanks Effie and Chris! My dad and I love watching the birds in our garden, and so we are delighted to have the albino starling as a regular visitor!

Something else I used to do is draw cartoons and caricatures from photos from magazines. It was fun exaggerating their features and a change from more straight drawing, which I did a lot of. Here's a cartoon I did of Steve James from The Dogs D'Amour - a rock band I was into in the early Nineties. I got the drawing signed by Steve backstage at one of their gigs. To get an idea of what he looks like, I posted a couple of pics of him underneath (although I can't find the photo I made the cartoon from).

I altered the picture because scanning alters colours etc, and the drawing was sellotaped into a magazine. It is still visible, but I didn't want to do much to that with it being signed.
