For username changes that happen once a year...I just wanted a little clarification. For example if you get your named changed in October of 2020. Would you need to wait until October 2021 to change it or could you get it changed in January of 2021? I guess my question is can you get it changed anytime that next year or would you need to wait exactly 12 months?

Moderators are allowed to change their user names once a year, and by once a year we mean that if you change your user name in a given calendar month in one year, you can't change your user name again until the same calendar month the following year.
You can read more about UN changes on this thread on the Mod board: http://www.fanforum.com/f49/moderato...14-a-63237227/

We keep a list of when moderators change their usernames in the OP of that thread.

Hi, I have tried to put a link in my signature for my new thread in on the Art board, and tried to do it the way I always do, but it won't work. I tried several times, but it still wouldn't work.

Here's the thread I'm trying to link in my sig:

I want the link to say Julie's Art Thread. Please can you help me? :flowers:

^ Hey
Is the way you have attempted been [url=insert link ] title of the thread [ /url] no spaces?? That is the way it works for me.
If that doesn't work I guess there has been a technical error.
I just tried it for you in my sig and its working for me so just keep trying :flowers: delete your cookies etc, sorry I'm not really tech savvy

Thanks so much for all your help Vicki and Chris!

Vicki, I think it was a technical error.

Chris, I copied and pasted the link and it works perfectly.

On firefox, Instagram post are currently not being show anymore, the page simply shows an error notice where the post would be.

Artemis 10-26-2020 06:49 AM

Sometimes, it's the actual post. If it's gone or something, it breaks.

Do you have an example post? But most likely, it's an issue with the link/post/instagram and not :ff:.

Does this issue only happen for IG? How about for tweets, do they show properly for you? Try to clear the cache and cookies and see if that'll work.

Firefox gave as explanation for not showing IG posts that FF did not have a permit for embedding Instagram posts on their website and hence the browser could not show them. Well I don't know what to think of this.

It was only for IG posts, but all IG posts. But now it seems to work fine again. Hopefully it stays that way. Thanks for trying to help either way.

Why am I unable to see certain :ff: fonts on my MacBook? It makes creating OPs hard.

Artemis 10-27-2020 07:45 PM

If the font isn't installed on your computer, you can't see it. It's an individual computer setting, not the site.

Penny Lane 10-28-2020 10:51 AM

Interesting, I didn’t know that. Thanks!
