I love the introductions in the first episode...its so strange when you compare their first appearance to later on. They all change so much.

It is amazing how much most of the characters changed, though in the end, I think Carrie stayed the same to be honest.

While I love the early episodes, the one thing I hate are the random interviews it appears that Carrie is having with people on the street. Sure some of them are funny, but as a whole they get on my nerves. I'm glad they were phased out.

Season One is so great though for so many reasons. I mean who can forget Big and Carries first run in with each other? Or when Miranda and Skipper had sex up against the wall? When Charlotte was in a threesome? When Carrie farted?

Or when Fun Laynie showed up at the party?

Season One was so fresh and a complete 360 from Season 6.

I didn't like a lot of the fashion from Season one but I did like the humor, especially when the girls were on there way somewhere and Charlotte was talking about how she didn't want to be 'up the butt girl' and then they had a little jerk and she asked what that was and everyone said: "A preview!:

I adore S1

It so it so different than the rest of the series, but has the same basic undertone. SJP said it best on one of the SF - that the show is about Carrie and her life, and Carrie and her friend's life. That's how it is divided up. And even in season one, though most of the main stuff is about Carrie and her love life, - there is still that bond with her friends, and their lives. And I think most can agree that it wasn't even as strong as it was years later but it was still incredible for the four of them.

Favorite thing about the season has to be Carrie and Big, and their start. Big did some pretty lame ass things but by the end of the episodes he was winning our hearts over and over again. And he is so gosh darn chamring.

I love this season and they way SATC was introduced to us. I'm glad they took away that interview thing they had going on though.

I love how it was Carrie focused and Carrie/Friends, Carrie/Big, Carrie/Life related.

Big was a bit of a jerk but like you said, you grew to love him.
