I think I'd find the streets useful since my sense of direction is terrible

it's a good time to be in NYC, first the earthquake then the hurricane even though we are used to the latter and let me tell you that that was not a big one.

When you think about how exposed and surrounded by water the region is it's surprising it doesn't have more weather trouble

I have read in the newspaper that without big pumps, NYC underground would be flooded in a few minutes.
