Only so many people can actually pull those looks off. I've seen some more cannon couples try and they just can't generate the heat.

Well it's very true to what extent people try to push the "destined to be" couples of other shows, I can think of Smallville for sure, the showrunners go on and on about this couple having intense chemistry and everyone knows it's not true, they just can't pull it off, try as they might.

I noticed it tends to be alot of the supposed supercouples, which is pretty amusing when you think about it. Thank god for UC shippers

Ugh, I hate Smallville, and what you just mentioned is the biggest reason of all.

I used to like only cannon couples until I found the greatness of fanfic, now I've been getting into some really strange ships .

Most of the time I find I can't ship those "meant to be" "forced down your throat" couples that headline television shows. I'm not sure if it's cause it's so obvious or what. I'm definatly a UC shipper to the core, I think I always have been.

The only big main 'ships that I have were Max/Liz on Roswell and that's only cause I think Jason and Shiri had the chemistry to pull it off. I can't say that for alot of other big couples, Clark/Lana come to mind for sure....

Clark/Lana are the worst, the show is too obsessed with them.

I do like some cannon couples still, like Michael and Sara in PB or Eric and Tami and Matt and Julie in FNL, I used to really like BL in OTH but right now I hate everything that involves Lucas, but I think the problem I have with TV is that there is a momentum for every couple and sometimes the writers try to make it last so much that they end up screwing with the storyline, also there is a point where the actors become so used to each other that they just go through the motions and everything looks mechanic.

I have to say I wasn't a fan of those outfits, but the pictures from that even were very very cute.

Yeah I don't like the outfits either, and I like black but I feel like they are singing in a funeral or something .
