^ The ratings were better earlier in season 2, they dropped a bit in the second half of the season. Just because Jeyton didn't get a lot of promotion doesn't mean they can't blame a little bit for the drop in ratings, since their romantic storyline came out of nowhere for some people, me included. The ending of 2.10 was pretty controversial at the time, since both speeches didn't really fit Brucas' relationship at that point and for most people Season 2 was far from the best season storyline wise and outside of Brooke and to some extent Nathan, I wasn't an massive fan of the character arcs that season.

Yeah I disagree. And I loved Jeyton and didn't feel it came out of no where, I felt it was a continuation from their season 1 storyline but whatever, no need to get into a ship war... since I can blame Leyton for a lot of things and you can't blame Jeyton so will just move on and stick to the thread topic.

If it was an continuation of their storyline from season 1, they would have continued to be an platonic friendship lol. The writers knew themselves that they didn't build them up either since they felt the need to diminish Peyton's feelings for Luke in S1. Can't blame Leyton for the S2 ratings drop lol

Actually Peyton had romantic feelings for Jake in season 1.
It's no need to really blame anyone for the ratings drop. Especially during season 2, when the show was at it's best. if anything we can blame Haley barely being seen in the second half of the season for the ratings drop.

However, no need to get in a shipping war here, no one is going to change anyone's mind so it ain't that serious. lol

We can just stick with Brooke/Julian. One day, I can't wait to watch all their scenes... hopefully I can eventually do that. lol

If she did, the writers should have done an much better job of showing that since pretty much all of their scenes were platonic and occurred when Peyton was still hung up on Luke. Something's gotta to to be to blame for it lol, since ratings normally don't drop as much as they did in S2. How would you have introduce Julian if he wasn't with Peyton previously?

But looking at the way the story turned out... I dunno... I don't even know if the writers planned Julian/Brooke though.

So, I don't know...
Really can't say how I would introduce him... but I wouldn't have had him involved with Peyton if I the plan was for Julian/Brooke...

Definitely don't think it was planned and I always kinda felt Chad and Hil's departure might have had something to do with it.

I think so, which would have annoyed me since that would have been an pointless storyline which would have added nothing to the show imo.
