Maya and Miles aren't and never were a fling, Zoe and Miles are the perfect example of a fling. If Maya and Miles were a fling, why does Miles go out of the way to protect her and help her when he really doesn't have to? I also think that if they were a fling that there would be some distance now that he's trying to date Tristan but there isn't and everyone knows Miles and Maya could have their own storylines after they have broken up but that's clearly not happening and Tristan is the one who is clueless about something being wrong with Miles, Maya is right. I think that it is interesting to note that after that fire ten weeks into the future that Miles and Maya are looking for Frankie together. In order for Tristan and Miles to have any chance to work I think that perhaps it would've been better if they had gotten the chance to know each other on any level before becoming romantically involved but the fact that Miles and Tristan have nothing in common and there's no effort made for them to even try to get to know each other all while Maya is in that storyline like it or not speaks volumes in my opinion and it shows that Miles and Maya have a deep connection despite what is going on right now. Do I think that Tristan will get his heart broken? Yes, but it's hard to feel sorry for someone who brought the drama on themselves and he knew how Maya and Miles felt about each other and I think only sees what he wants to.

these two are sweet together, I'm watching the episodes from last season. I definately like them better than tristan/miles and zig/maya. I do kind of like zig/maya after what we've seen this season, but maya knows miles so well.

Miles was the first person in Maya's life not to treat Maya like she was crazy and I thought that their scenes in "Hush" further reinforce their strong connection to each other and Miles didn't have to stay while she went to therapy and I think that she will be the one to find out that real root of Miles's issues and certainly faster than Tristan would ever be allowed to and she knows that there have been issues between Miles and his father before. With Maya and Zig, she just blows him off and clearly he will always be second fiddle to Miles and who really wants or roots for that? I also thought that what Miles said about Tristan was very true and that Maya wouldn't allow Miles to treat her like Tristan is treated by Miles. I think that "Hush" further reinforced that Maya not Tristan knows Miles well. "Hush" also further reinforced that Miles and Tristan clearly know nothing about each other and that Tristan is blind when it comes to romantic relationships.

I actually have a little hope that these two may just get a second chance. That conversation they had outside after the fire was loaded with emotions. And Triles is clearly over. So I actually a tiny bit excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for them.

I like the fact that they actually talk about things whereas with Tristan he was just written as a distraction for Miles but their relationship was never given the chance to ever work because Miles doesn't talk to Tristan about anything and Maya and Zig live in the same house for now but they never talk about much of anything and certainly nothing with any depth in my opinion.

I'm thinking about going back and watching some of their episodes to see what I think of them now. As a Zaya/Triles shipper I might feel more comfortable. Haha. Anyone else want to venture over to the darkside?

I never thought of that. She probably needed to separate from that experience. And what better way than with the mysterious new boy? I can see why she found him intriguing at the start of their relationships and wanted to help at the end.
