Maya and Miles aren't and never were a fling, Zoe and Miles are the perfect example of a fling. If Maya and Miles were a fling, why does Miles go out of the way to protect her and help her when he really doesn't have to? I also think that if they were a fling that there would be some distance now that he's trying to date Tristan but there isn't and everyone knows Miles and Maya could have their own storylines after they have broken up but that's clearly not happening and Tristan is the one who is clueless about something being wrong with Miles, Maya is right. I think that it is interesting to note that after that fire ten weeks into the future that Miles and Maya are looking for Frankie together. In order for Tristan and Miles to have any chance to work I think that perhaps it would've been better if they had gotten the chance to know each other on any level before becoming romantically involved but the fact that Miles and Tristan have nothing in common and there's no effort made for them to even try to get to know each other all while Maya is in that storyline like it or not speaks volumes in my opinion and it shows that Miles and Maya have a deep connection despite what is going on right now. Do I think that Tristan will get his heart broken? Yes, but it's hard to feel sorry for someone who brought the drama on themselves and he knew how Maya and Miles felt about each other and I think only sees what he wants to.
