Yeah, Sam's usually not the most open Twitter poster when it comes to spoilers, but with all those people involved in that scene would have given us more of a hint. Maybe they did, I'll have to check the Twitter rundown on the Spoiler thread.

Oh and just for the record, it was a writers decision.

I do have to admit that as sudden and shocking as the departure was, that final scene was amazing. Sigh.

Why the heck did they fire him?????????! KC, Clare, Conor and Alli were actually the first characters I've ever seen on degrassi. THey've all been on the show for a long time, especially them have to stay until the end!

I was so sad about KC leaving. I loved that last scene with Jenna and him. I loved their hug. the way everyone was there for him as they saw him off. the way that he looked at Jenna, that there was still something there.

I am still in shock that he isn't on the show anymore..and that he is already cut from the opening scene.

You know what... I thought KC's sendoff was good when I assumed that it was Sam's decision to leave the show. I thought, wow, they really did KC justice when they probably wanted to keep him around for another season. But now that I know it was the writers' choice, I'm kind of annoyed about it. It was abrupt and disappointing. When and how did KC become such a disposable character? And why were they so quick to remove him from the opening credits? It doesn't make sense. Since this was apparently a creative decision, I expect to see some creative upside to this. I just can't imagine what that will be.

I thought the choice to remove him from the credits with six episodes left in the season (well, half season) was just plain tacky. Considering how long he's been on the show, what a huge part of the Degrassi world Sam is, and what he contributed it seems wrong that they just cut him out like that.

Also it bothers me that he's obviously still in the shot and you can see the paper he's holding.

Yeah, it's not as if they didn't know this episode was going to be part of the summer telenova run when it was completed. So they knew well this wasn't six weeks we were talking about of him being in the credits, but rather a week and a half. Oh and even if it was six weeks, this show has left departed characters in credits for much longer than that.

Tacky is the right way to describe it. I also can't help but think the decision was made at a higher level than even Stohn and Linda.

I saw a tweet the other day that said something along the line of "Remember when Degrassi used Poker Face and had to get rid of Spencer, Sam & Melinda to pay for it?" It made me laugh, but I can't escape the feeling there might be some truth to it.
