Every TV show has them. The one couple that makes you so sick you just want to barf. Weather they be too mopey, too cute, too annoying, too stupid or just...too much, or if they are just so completely opposit each other that you can see from the first glance that it will never work. They are the one couple that makes you cring everytime they appear on screen, the one couple that makes you wish for a slow and painful death seeing as it will be a lot better to handle then watching this couple on screen. For Degrassi, it is Sean and Emma.

He was the bad boy, she was the goody two shoes tree hugging hippie. From the second they even looked at each other you could tell their relationship was doomed. She cared more about saving the world then saving her own relationship, freaking out everytime someone saw them kissing in public, even when it wasnt even public. IT WAS THE WOODS! AND ONE PERSON SAW THEM:

Emma:Anybody could walk by.
Sean:Who Cares?!
Emma:I Do.

Leaving Sean standing there. Clearly the boy felt neglected by that coment. A line such as that is enough to make anyone feel as if they were being hidden almost. Emma made it clear that she was ashamed to be seen kissing her own boyfriend in public, even a place as private as the woods showed this relationship was never going to go anywhere. Finally Sean realized that Emma had gone too far, her coment about careing proved to him that she was not as into this relationship as he himself was...

Emma:Fine. Be like that.
Sean:Like what?
Emma:Sulky.
Sean:You're so uptight!
Emma:Why? Because I didn't wanna like makeout in front of other people?
Sean:No. Because you never wanna do anything! Not with ME!

Lonliness. Sometimes a person can be with someone for months, years, a lifetime and they will never feel more lost and alone then when they are with that person. Sean clearly was starting to feel as if he was invisable, as if Emma was too busy saving the world then anyone else. Sean Was the only one in this relationship who wanted it to work, he was trying his hardest until reality slapped him in the face...

Emma:I just spent my entire lunch with you!
Sean:Yeah! Cleaning the ravine!
Emma:Well sorry. That I care about stupid unimportant things like the enviroment.
Sean:That's all you care about. Emma Nelson. Enviromental crusader, a babysitter, a nurse.
Emma:Snake has cancer, Sean.
Sean:Yeah! I heard!
Emma:[i]Fine. Tomorrow you spend lunch with those losers.[i]
Sean:You know what, I Will. Cause at least their fun!
Emma:Fun? And You? You're just pathetic.

Naturally a coment such as that is enough to seal the deal, enough proof needed for a man to realize he was being hidden, to realize his girlfriend was ashamed of the relationship they had together. Sean slammed the locker beside her as he walked off, showing her that her final coment had gotten to him. All he wanted was some careing from the girl who claimed she cared about him, proving that he was wrong. Emma possibly realizing she made a mistake did try and apologize to him..but thankfully Sean had more then enough sense by now..

Emma:Sean...can I talk to you for a minute....Alone?
Sean:No.
Emma:It's about yesterday. We both said a lot, I was hoping we could talk. Really talk. About everything.
Sean:Got nothing to say.

As if he was finally hit on the head, Sean's coment was enough to end the relationship he thought he and Emma shared. Now we are finally free of this suckfest and able to enjoy the beautiful chemistry between Sean and Ellie..the simplicity of it all...

Eman Myths

MYTH 1: Ellie was the rebound.
FACT: Amy was the rebound. Sean was no longer on the rebound when he was with Ellie, as evidenced by the fact that he rejected Liberty, who was herself on the rebound. Plus, if we want to be like that, Sean was Emma's rebound for Jordan.

MYTH 2: There's a rivalry between Ellie and Emma over Sean.
FACT: Since when? Amy tried to steal Sean back, but Ellie dealt with that. Eman fans invariably bring up Mercy Street when asked. Except that the fight was over Rick. If you think Emma was right, please watch TSS again.

MYTH 3: TSS predicts an Eman reunion.
FACT: All it means is Sean doesn't want Emma dead. Just like he doesn't want Craig homeless, doesn't want JT and Toby on E, and didn't want Rick's life to be a living hell. And just like he doesn't want Ellie to cut. See the logic? If "He doesn't want Emma dead." is proof of destiny, Heartbreakers are hopeless.

MYTH 4: Emjay proves Eman are destiny.
FACT: Yeah, real destiny. Ignore the fact that Emjay's pure prostitution and Emma gets gonorrhea in the end. At least Emma could charge him charm bracelets; Manny got one of those from Craig.

MYTH 5: Sean was a jerk to Marco.
FACT: Marco and Sean both had problems with Marco being the fifth wheel. Every other episode with Sean and Marco on the screen together, Ellie or no Ellie, they're cool.

MYTH 6: She wasn't there for Ashley or Marco because of Sean.
FACT: Ashley had a problem with Craig before Sean came along. My working theory is that Ellie tried to snap Ashley out of it and gave up.

MYTH 7: They have no chemistry.
FACT: Sure, they don't have much in common beyond bad reputations, and if not for his time with Emma he could be with Manny for the same reason, but how many couples on this show do have something in common?
