Gluten in gravy It tasted ok (if i was drunk I would have sworn it was mince), it was just the texture. It was kind of squidgy... never again!!

oh and Yamiko how were the slugs?
They were okay. Like eating seafood. And don't worry, they were dead prior to eating them

I've seen it...on one of those channels (National Geographic/Discovery Channel/etc). Koreans do eat live squid or octopus. However, it is risky as well since one or the other, or even both, could choke you to death. There have been cases. Not that it should deter you from trying one, but hey...

Have you guys seen that show "Bizzare Foods" on the Travel Channel (or whatever channel it might be on)? They got some interesting foods there.

Really? I always thought it was the red chili peppers that give you that sort of kick.

Octopus in spain. Nice in a red wine and boiled. And can I say tofu? It's so wierd. It's bland and what can you eat with it.

Actually, toss in some green onions and soy sauce and it's great. Usually, tofu is supposed to absorb.

Yeah, that guy has quite the stomach.

I've never eaten very many weird foods (I guess the closest I've gotten is calamari or eel), but my father has traveled all over the world and tried all different kinds of things. He says he's had cow brain before.

It's not like he enjoys every dish he's come across. I saw one episode recently where he's in China and he couldn't handle the stinky tofu. As much as I love tofu, having to eat one that fermented for some time isn't something I'd go for.
