Overdue Items

Damn. I renewed my library books too late again.

Last time, it was the DVD from the rental place. I just hate it when I really really remembered the day before or even on that day and even took it out and then suddenly in the middle of the night, I'd be like "Oh no! I forgot to drop it off when I drove back home!!!"

I'm awful about bringing stuff back. The biggest late fee I had was $82 and they shut my account down So that my dear Cindy is why I buy books and don't take them out of the library.

When sorting through my possessions a few months ago, I found a tape I'd borrowed from a private library in 1998. I had no idea I still had it, and now I'm afraid to take it back because of the potential fine. It wasn't their only copy and I sent them a 'donation' of £50, but I still feel guilty.

The worst thing is, I never actually listened to it.

I'm usually good for returning things on time, but when I rack up the fees I will stop going to the place rather than pay In the year I avoided Blockbuster, my fine seems to have disappeared, and the $25 fee at the public library was erased by a friend

I always had trouble with Blockbuster, since you had to get the movies back by 10am. But they threw us all a bone and eliminated late fees, so now I can stop stressing over late fees that cost more than the movie itself.

I never have overdue items...except this one time. I had the wrong return date in my head and when I returned it, they asked me for a quarter! LOL I was actually really traumatized because it was the first time it happened to me.

I don't think I have anything. Ever since I let a girl back in the 4th grade borrow mine I'm anal about library book returning. She wouldn't return it and I had to pay like two months of fines for her. BOO!

I know how you feel.

I have a library book from elementary that my fourth grade teacher had me check out over the summer and then I was too bring it back when school started back in August 1990. We moved out of state that year and I told my mother I had a book I needed to return and she told me not to worry about it. I was only 11. Anyway, I stil have it. It makes me feel guilty whenever I think about it. I'm too afraid to return it because I can only imagine how much the fine would be.
