Why can't hanging pictures be made easier?

There once was a commercial for some Home-Depot sort of place that gave this tip:
Place the nail between the teeth of a comb, which will probably hold the nail long enough.  __________________

I use screws instead of nails when hanging up pictures--they aren't as likely to fall off the wallthat way. I just get my studfinder and my power drill, and I'm good to go.

I use these colored thumb tacks to hang up posters and such in my room, they seem to work nicely
