iPods

I'm thinking of getting an iPod Shuffle after Christmas because a few of my friends have them and say they're really good.
I've asked them what you do with them etc...but I'm still really confused.
Can they only hold so many songs? What happens if you reach the song limit, but you want to change the songs, can you delete some and then replace them? And what do you use the iTunes cards for?
I feel reaaaalllly silly but I'm wondering if they're worth it.
Can anyone answer my questions?

Thanks in advance .

I'm not really an expert, but I believe you can delete and change the songs. I'm sure there's an instruction manual with it. The iTunes cards are gift cards, basically for buying songs. They have the amount printed on the card $10, $15, $20, $50, etc. I don't own a Shuffle, I prefer the 80G one so I can carry ALL of my music w/ me all the time, lol.

I hope that helps.

I don't know the answers to most of those, i bought a 2 GB iPod a couple months ago - you install the iTunes program and it syncs with your iPod through a USB cable and you can program whatever songs you want in there. Remove and replace as you see fit. I don't know what this "itunes card" is, might be credit towards getting "legal" songs? I dunno, the iTunes takes in all your current music.

You can eliminate some of the songs of your iPod in order to add some new ones...

You manage all your music through iTunes

I'll probably get one now since they seem to be worth it.

I just bought myself an 80gig just a couple days ago actually. I took me like 15 minutes trying to figure out how to turn it off after I'd turned it on

I'm still working on the whole uploading/synching stuff. I had some weird stuff loaded in my iTunes library when I first plugged it in.

I was gonna get an iPod nano and join the white earphone brigade....but then my lovely lovely friend bought me one of these for my birthday:

It's AMAZING and would recommend it a billion times over. It's got video, photo, music (obv) capabilities as well as calendar and alarm organiser etc. It's around £130.

If it's an Apple iPod, you can go here to d/l iTunes: ITunes, altho the iPod WILL come with a CD that has it already. Unless you want to get a head start.

Yeah, they break when you drop them and crashed crashing by overloading the ipod with songs, it's like a computer

I wanted to get an ipod, but got a Sansa instead, which plays video, music, radio, holds photos, can voice record.. It's a slightly smaller screen than the ipod video, and holds less, but it's perfect for me.

I love my disk scan it's small, good price...alot better than a ipod price.
Mine does radios, voice recording and plays music of course

edited I just saw "today tonight" show, it's alot worse than I thought, I wouldn't buy a Ipod.

edited again.
