LONDON (AFP) - James Bond is normally adept at dodging villains but he fell victim to pirates less than 48 hours after his new film, "Casino Royale," was released, an Internet intelligence firm said.

The latest film in the British spy series is already circulating on the Internet and on illegal DVDs available on the streets of London.

The movie premiered in London on November 14 and went on general release in some countries the following day.

It had already been illegally downloaded off the Internet more than 200,000 times by Monday, said Envisional, which specialising in piracy surveillance.

A first version was freely available online on November 17, which apparently came from Russia, was filmed on a camcorder over the heads of a cinema audience and had poor quality sound.

By early on November 18, a second, better version, possibly from Italy, hit the web.

"In the face of this international conspiracy, Bond is really up against it," said David Price, Envisional's head of piracy intelligence.

Cillian Murphy and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in a movie together?

It hasn't been confirmed yet, but rumor has it that some of Ireland's biggest stars are starring in a movie adaptation of At Swim-Two-Birds together.

In an article from The Irish Examiner, actor Gabriel Byrne said he was eager to star in a movie that will bring together the cream of Irish screen talent: Byrne hopes to fulfil a plan to bring to the screen the Flann O’Brien novel At Swim-Two-Birds. If it gets made, the film will unite Byrne with Colin Farrell, Cillian Murphy, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as well as Brendan Gleeson, who has written the screenplay. Director John Boorman has also expressed an interest in the project. Speaking about the young stars, Byrne, 56, said: “They’re talented actors and the whole country is very proud of them.”

At Swim-Two-Birds is a novel from the 1930s, telling of a slacker college student who starts writing a novel about an eccentric author who writes on Westerns and the novel's story becomes the main focus of ASTB. The story itself takes weird dramatic turns as the college student writes a strange story-within-a story wherein the main character's own characters rebel against his tyranny. The novel has been named one of Time Magazine's 100 Best Novels, O'Brien's masterpiece and a sophistacted piece of metafiction.
