What to get for Valentine's day????
Help me I am clueless. I have no idea what to get my girlfriend. We were in the mall and when we walked by the Hallmark store she said those bears that kiss are "cute" but other than that I don't know what to get her. I'm not in love with her, yet so I don't want any like "I love you so much" type of crap.

From my perspective, it's better to get something smallish and personal than something big that she doesn't really like. When you guys have gone shopping in the past, what do you remember her lingering over? If you really can't remember, I say just go with a single red rose and the kissing bears. Or, if you're feeling generous, maybe a dozen roses.

I so understand what you're going through. My boyfriend and I haven't even been together for a month yet and Valentine's day is among us. The best advice I can give you, is to give her the special THREE.
1)A card 2)Something w/some thought in it. (The bears since she lingered over them) 3)And last but not least: Something fun that you both can use. An example of the special three is what I'm giving my boyfriend: Since my boyfriend's a guy (obviously), I didn't want to give him anything too mushy and since we're not in love, I didn't want to give him anything too lovey-dovey. So, I bought him a card and--since he is always complaining about the cheap 99 cent lighters he buys--a not-that-expensive lighter with his name engraved on it. For the third gift--that we both can use--I'm thinking of giving him a bottle of his favorite liquor to go w/it or a pair of handcuffs. I hope my post helped a lil. yeah I think you should just buy her those bears she liked.... I'm pretty sure she'd love then and maybe something with some thought on it. Sometimes small gifts are the best ones.

Get her something that has meaning for the two of you, even if it's weird.
Or something that's not too expensive, but stuff she'd never buy for herself, or a CD of a group you know she really likes and doesn't have yet. __________________

I think that the best way to go is to make something. It's more personal that way and she knows that you put some time and effort into it.

I say a card, the bears, and a candle. All girls love candles, dont they? And as Kelso said, "Chicks cant keep their shirts off around a scented candle." Making something is sweet but make sure you show how much thought you put into it and stuff so you dont come off as just being too cheap to buy her something. Bath stuff is always good too IMO. You could also by a cute picture frame and put a picture of you two in it. That's sweet and not too serious.

A card would be great with a little bear or maybe there's a CD or shirt that she'd love. I think she'll love anything you give her.

If your relationship isn't all that serious, you can still get her something that's cute and meaningful like the teddy bears or perhaps something else she's had her eye on...

I'd been dating a guy for about a month when Valentine's Day rolled around. He gave me half a dozen roses and treated me to dinner at a small, romantic little Italian restaurant. He showed up wearing a nice dress shirt and a tie, told me how beautiful I looked, held my hand as we ran across the street in our dress clothes to get to the restaurant, etc. He was ultra sweet to me the whole evening...too bad I really couldn't stand him. We broke up the next day.

The bears sound like a really cute idea. So does the picture frame idea, and of course a card. If you want it to be super nice, add a flower (red rose is nice, but stereotyped, and also may feel too serious for you so you could go for something different.) __________________
