APK...I just went on Full Blown Rose's website and on YouTube and listened to them and I love this band...Burden of Sacrifice sounds like EV a lot, no? But all their songs are very good. I used to love Blink 182. Them and New Found Glory. Havent listened to them for ages and ages and ages.....

It's really not. Bands that sound like clones of others generally don't last as long unless they sound and write something different; that's why Ev has LASTING power -as long as Amy's pen doesn't run dry or she loses interest. Thar's why I like the bands I listed. They are as different from "the masses" as they are from each other.

Take the "goth black metal" sound of EV; there are others that are similar but not nearly as enjoyable or accomplished like Leaves' Eyes, Nightwish or Atreyu. These bands have very accomplished musicians, but there wrting/arranging is awful. These bands I really don't like much. Others take the sound a different way like Lacuna Coil or Korn or Full Blown Rose, for that matter, and are much more enjoyable to hear.

We should start a thread of what our top 20 bands are and say why, one at a time per post, starting with #20. It would tell us all where we are musically and require some thought, don't you think. Maybe this week we break 700 posts?

Oh the top 20 in no specific order.
