I am very conflicted about S2 because i didn't like the whole Chris/Haley/nathan triangle or whatever you want to call it, but i did enjoy the later episodes of S2 because we got to see just HOW MUCH Nathan loved Haley because he was struggling so much in her absence.

The episode when they go with Cooper to the racetrack is actually one of my favorite episodes of that season.
