It was a perfect scene. One of my all time OTH fav scenes actually. Everything from dialogue to music to acting to quality to heart to full circle was spot on. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect final Dan/Haley and Dan/Haley/Jamie/Lydia ending scene. And even though Nate wasn't there, it was still perfect because they mentioned him...Dan thanking her and realising she was the best part of Nathan's life.

It was just...gah....one of the reasons I stuck with this show for so long...for scenes like this one. I just loved how this scene not only touched upon Dan's love/acceptance of Haley (and also it was the first time I believe he said sorry to Haley for Keith), but also her and Dan's love for Nathan and also the grandkids...her telling him she will make sure Lydia remembers that he loved her...it was Haley's gift to Dan. She may not have forgotten what he did to Keith, but she would make sure he wasn't defined just by that action and that Lydia would know of the good in him.

*happy sigh* I love this scene so much. Just a fantastic example of a scene that while sad, also managed to be completely satisfying on every level for a final/end for Dan/Haley/kids.

Completely agree w/ this and everything perfect in that episode that I wouldn't trade for anything, but love it so much..
