I always kinda felt sorry for him when he said it because I always interpret it as him not being allowed to be a kid and listen to music and such.

Me too.
Poor Ryan. And I think he did like music, but his life had been so hectic in Chino that he never had a chance to focus on entertainment like normal kids growing up do, but on the show, he liked the CD Marissa gave him and it got lost in the fire and he'd wanted another copy.__________________
