Chaos reigns in the Cohen kitchen as Sandy, Ryan and Seth continue to cope with Kirsten’s rehab. When Sandy encourages Kirsten to come home to her family, Kirsten’s attachment to Charlotte causes Sandy to become concerned. Meanwhile, at Harbor School , Dean Hess, the new Dean of Discipline, arrives and makes a decision that changes Marissa’s life forever, and Summer trumps Taylor Townsend, her cardigan-wearing, goody two-shoes newpsie nemesis, when planning the annual Kick-Off Carnival. I loved him in this episode. (But then I again I love him in every episode.) The ending was the best with the California song and the way he punched that a-hole of a dean. Doesn't the dean know that you do not touch Ryan's people like that. I would have punched him too, maybe not as hard.

And I just wish Kirsten would come home.
And Seth and Summer on the Ferris Wheel was hilarious.

Once again a great performance! It just wouldn't have been the OC without Ryan punching at least one person this season and boy am I glad it was the new Dean. I really don't like that guy. He was being the Ryan we know and love, standing up for the girl he loves. The end scene was brilliantly done. There was that little bit of comedy with Seth & Summer in the ferris wheel and the drama of the punch and then Ryan having to go back and get Marissa. Mischa's acting was really brilliant in this ep.

Yes. His blue sweater vest matched nicely with his eyes tho. But he shouldn't have grabbed Marissa like that. He's not allowed to grab kids like that.
