Finally I watched the I Want To Believe movie after finishing season 9, and it actually wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it to be! The plot did get a bit slow towards the end, and I didn’t really see the point of the subplot with Scully and the sick boy, but otherwise I mostly liked it. Amanda Peet’s character was great, it all looked really beautiful with the snow, and it was very nostalgic seeing Mulder and Scully again a few years after The Truth. I would watch it again anyway, and that’s something that I can’t say for most of season 9
 It seemed like Chris Carter was going for a type of Silence of The Lambs thriller, only he didn’t quite pull it off, but I liked it enough just because Mulder and Scully were in it  Maybe that’s why it didn’t seem as bad to me as I was coming to it directly after watching season 9 with characters that I mostly didn’t care about, so it was a lot better to me in comparison to that, but I can see why it wasn’t a big hit with casual audiences who were remembering the classic years of The X-Files and expecting a good follow up to that__________________

I saw the film while waiting on a 6 hour layover once in an airport and I honestly feel like I remember nothing from watching it
 I do remember feeling similar to you, it wasn't terrible but also.... it wasn't amazing. They could have done so much better with it.__________________

It definitely wasn’t very memorable, they could have done a better job with the villains as they really didn’t make much of an impact on me at all

Yeah, it was just there. It had some good scenes but overall it wasn't really anything to write home about. That's why I probably feel like I couldn't even tell you that much about the plot of it
It's a shame since it should have been much better than it ended up being.__________________

Yeah I didn’t care much about the plot to be honest, I just enjoyed the scenes where I could stare at Mulder and Scully
 They had some nice scenes together__________________
