I think a lot of shows these days feel forced too when they clearly have one couple set up as their main on/off couple from the start, so they keep coming up with scenarios to show their sexual tension. Whereas it developed very naturally on the X-Files just from how close the characters became over the years

Yeah, the slow burn can really pay off better but most tv shows don’t have the patience and maybe not the audiences today either.

The worst thing are roadblocks. When the male and female leads get together early on during the show and then the writers come up with ridiculous reasons for keeping them apart. Ugh.

The worst!!! So annoying!

Absolutely, I hate when a couple keeps breaking up every five minutes because the writers don’t know how else to create drama

Even worse: When Joey and Rachel suddenly proposed to each other.....lol, that was a low point.

I think I remember they were originally planning on ending it with Ross and Rachel getting back together after the birth of Emma, but then they got renewed for more seasons, and that was the result  Like damn Rachel, at least let him ask the question before just blurting out yes :lmao:

 in that season 6 highlight article it mentioned Mulder and Scully have chemistry so strong it can give viewers third degree burns!

What do you think was their most serious argument or fight?

FrellingTralk 02-11-2019 08:01 AM

Hmm I can’t really think of any big fights they ever had actually. They were estranged for a bit after the second movie we were told, but nothing that we ever saw onscreen, otherwise I don’t remember any big fights with lots of yelling. Am I forgetting any? Well I guess in Ice they did hold guns on one another, but other than that
