I saw someone saying that early X-Files has dated really badly in that respect with how up close and personal Mulder keeps getting with Scully when they’re at their workplace

I don't agree because when it came to TV with female/male leads, that's how it was. And in real life, if you have a hot coworker, that's how it is too. He was never inappropriate imo.

He wasn’t ever inappropriate I agree, I think it’s just jarring for some modern viewers to see scenes in s1 when Mulder is excitably pulling Scully close to show her a new piece of evidence or something, cause most people would be careful not to get quite that up close and personal with a colleague when they’re in the workplace

Well, when you're comfortable with someone, that's how it is. I feel like all shows are like that when there's chemistry between two people.

All the shows I liked growing up were like that, like Friends, ER, The Office, Gilmore Girls, etc. The lead actors were always that close and I don't believe it's really supposed to promote real life working relationships, that's why it's television.

I know. Ain't nobody gonna critique TXF without me going all the way in.
When I said it was sexual harassment, I was mostly joking because in the real world if something inappropriate happens in the office, people mostly stay quiet about it. I don't think TXF would make light of those types of situations. MS had a unique working relationship which wasn't farfetched imo. They happen. |

The person I came across was joking too I think just about how it must look to their other co-workers at times, I haven’t ever seen Mulder be seriously accused of harassment or anything like that by the viewers!__________________
