Wonder if she ever knew while studying acting in school, that her main trademark acting would be "exasperated eye rolling" and "skeptical sighing" (with arms folded) :P

^ She does it so well though.

Spoiler:

That was Mulder's fantasy too, Apparently!

Honestly?! That also suprised me. There are just a few men I know who like women with that characteristics. For me the profession of a man isn't very important as long as he enjoys what he is doing. But I had two or three dates in the past with men who broke contact after I told them that I have an university degree while they don't have one. One of them even ended a dinner at a restaurant by telling me that I wouldn't be the right woman for him because he wants his wife staying at home.

I asked myself honestly afterwards if we are still living in the middleage. What are these men afraid of?

;) in response, Sandra, not sure if it's to related to GA or Scully but I'll just write it this in spoiler tags so it's not taking up space. It's more like related to being an "unusual?" woman?
Spoiler:

So appearently,I need to meet a TV writer and go out with him cause the X-Files writers thought Scully was a dream woman  so much they made her fight and win against bimbo nurses, cause they love strong, smart female with opinions! If I have to be single, rather than not be a woman with opinions and being smart and capable for some man to like me, forget it, But finding a guy like Mulder and Chris Carter who loves these traits, hello? Show yourselves,

SannraB 10-02-2016 02:43 AM

Hey Leanne, before I answer you and I'm sure it'll be a long answer ;), can you show me the spoiler code again? I always forget it, sorry. I 'll put it in spoiler tacks for I'm not sure if anyone is interested in this.

It's like this, use these brackets [ ]
And use sp within those brackets at the beginning and /sp at the end of your paragraph

Makes sense I hope?

SannraB 10-02-2016 03:17 AM

Yes thanks! I'll answer you later, it's a wonderful autumn sunday day here and I want to go out to enjoy nature...
By the way, I don't think that we are "unusual" women. I know a lot of strong women but unfortunately they are not always strong when it comes to men.

Yes, Sandra! True that!

And back to me being a typical girl, I love Scully's hair in that clip. I need to get my hair cut like that again, like pronto. (right now it's more like Neko Case during her outdoor concert hair , thanks to the colouring bleaching I did two months ago, it looks dry/frizzy)

Little_Stewie 10-02-2016 10:39 AM

Don't forget that most of us men are lazy. We may dream of a strong, opinionated woman, but then we settle for a 'low maintenance' version. ;)

SannraB 10-02-2016 11:50 AM

@ Stewie: That doesn't really give me hope now. :goof: ;)

@ Leanne:

Spoiler:

reason to believe 10-02-2016 04:29 PM

Yeah, Stewie, that's not encouraging! Unless you mean "low maintenance" concerning make up, hair, and clothes, I can do that. ;) :P

Yes, Sandra, it's probably the reason, females mature faster than males in our brains. Hopefully, now the men have caught up to us, and won't be threatened (?) by our responsibilities!

Ok, bad news for me, GA canceled her fan expo appearance already so I guess I have to wait another year? Good thing I half expected the possibility.

Tech Noir 10-02-2016 06:13 PM

The opposite of those traits would be weak, dumb, "yes sir," helpless, and a pushover. Perhaps I'm being naive, but I would like to think most men would indeed prefer a Scully type woman as opposed to the opposite version. :fingers_crossed:
But to be fair not a lot of people (including men) are as awesome as Scully. :P I think most of us fall somewhere in between Scully's traits and the opposite version. And I agree with Sandra as far as a woman can be in a high powered position and still be "weak" when it comes to men. For me that would mean losing her personality, which Scully never did for Mulder. :P

Bummer about her appearance getting canceled. :(

Ha ha the timeline is not very realistic. The first years her cloth weren't that tight. ;)

But yes Scully, instead of 1992 2016 definately suits you more! :)
