Urgh that makes me cringe so much I’m afraid Why is that a thing with young people now, I see so many Gillian fans who have crushes on her calling her their Mom, and now it’s Mommy as well apparently

I know, hey young fans, Gillian Anderson is known for portraying badass women and was/is one herself, she ain’t no mommy to you.

But she paid attention to that dumb tweet so what do I know?

She has a really nice costume for that show!

Honestly I suspect that Gillian just thought that the Mommy stuff was them joking about that tweet in particular because she introduced herself as, ‘Did someone say mother’, but geez fans are screaming and falling all over themselves in the responses as if she was flirting with them as their ‘Mommy’ (some are being very creepy and full on too!), so I wonder if she regrets replying to that tweet at all now

Boy I get second hand embarrassment by what social media has brought to the table when it comes to fans trying to get attention from actors and other famous people.

I’m curious how heavy that wig is for her, she’s so small underneath that head of massive hair.

I’m really glad I wasn’t born in that time period. All the upper class people like that seemed to be such robotic people because of society expectations!

Same, I look at some of the stuff that people think it’s appropriate to tweet directly at an actor, and I can only shake my head quite honestly! I know that David isn’t nearly as popular with young people nowadays as Gillian is, but in many ways that does make his fandom a calmer and saner place to be when it’s mostly just us bordering on middle-aged people following him and chatting about his projects (well that and admiring his beard ), as opposed to the 18 year olds shouting MIlF and Mommy at Gillian Gillian seems pretty chilled out and amused by fandom, so she probably doesn’t care at all though lol


And I wonder how many different wigs Gillian has worn in her projects now, must be quite a lot!

Agreed It’s cool that she both enjoys getting all dressed up and glam for award shows, and also that she’s happy to share candid snaps on social media of her getting ready

I really think although she likes fashion statements, she's not particularly a "girly girl" with clothes, hair and make-up and isn't at all afraid to share pics of herself when she has no make-up and her hair looks wild and unbrushed. I just love her being real and true, not a fake person.
