I was so nervous the first time I ever presented but I've done so many that now I'm fine with it. This is my first zoom presentation though.

Small zoom conferences are fun....but large zoom conferences with 100's or even 1000's of participants are kind of silly. What's the point? Usually, every few months I go to a conference somewhere on the globe, in order to meet with my colleagues, talk Science and have beers. That's awesome. Doing that via zoom is not the same thing.
 I can zoom with them every day!!! Man, I really hope everything will be back to normal in 2022 at least.__________________

My job doesn’t involve presenting anything which I’m fine with
Ok, so weird and funny. I’m watching this episode of Roseanne from the 3rd season and its a scene with Darlene with some classmates. I kind of looked to see if I’d find any familiar kid who would be someone I might know now like I usually do and didn’t see anyone. Then I looked up again and guess who I saw sitting beside Sara Gilbert and had no lines at all???

Oh what a sweetheart
Studying abroad sounds great! I hope it'll work out soon! And since I am not in a field that involves conferences, that is not something I miss  but I can totally understand it's not the same. I also can't wait for work to be a little closer to normal and to have a private life that involves meeting people again __________________

I don't think the virus will die down anytime soon but I'm hoping enough people will be vaccinated by the end of the year so we can get some freedom back.
