I really liked this episode, i don't know why but i didn't find Richard's story with his wife interesting a lot :lol: on the other hand, i loved the island and evil crock metaphor and the whole Jacob and MIB crazy stuff and Nestor's acting was great :love:

I don't know Jacob seems pretty shady to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they flip it on us and things are more gray between MIB and Jacob rather than black and white.

MIB offered Richard his wife to help him to kill, Jacob clearly told him it's impossible to get his wife back or be redeemed in one second cause a man needs to learn and redeem themselves and not the other way around. Jacob is genuine, Mib is not.

I don't think MIB is good but I don't think Jacob is necessarily good either. They are both manipulative bastards. Besides, who the hell told Jacob the losties wanted to be brought onto the island to redeem themselves?

Seriously? What about when Jack was the hero but they revealed obsessive, fixating qualities in him? What about his struggle with Locke? That was never right vs. wrong. Or what about the Others? They were pretty damn evil at first and then boom! they are revealed to have more layers to them. Or Juliet? Or the entire character study of Ben Linus is a pretty huge one. A duck is definitely not a duck on this show. Every single character kind of proves that I think.

I only think it was cheesy because we barely know Richard and Isabelle. I guess we're going to differ because I loved the episode.

And Jacob is shady because he wants people to redeem themselves... but he tries to get them to do that through trials that end up killing them. He told Richard that all the people he brought to the island died and he said it quite coldly I thought.

Exactly. Some people that Jacob brought to the island died while trying to redeem themselves. I think if they had known that was a possibility they would never have even signed up for this. He has not given them the full truth.

It's been said man is born for God will and on earth they are gonna proof their good side or bad side for the free will they have.
Obviously not everyone believes in God and here's is all the concept of the losties. Sayid obviously don't believe in Jacob/God and does what he wants to. He chose to lose his humanity in exchange of what he wants the most.
Sawyer might not believe in God either but in the same time he shows he's not corrupted, all he wants is freedom for himself and the people he cares about. Jack and Hurley looks like they believe and are doing what Jacob/God is telling them to do.
Jacob/God are not forcing anyone neitehr is manipulating them... he's got rules and tells the loties what they should do...but wether they do it or not...it's up to the losties :shurg:

But see..this is what you think. You think it's more than this... but IMO it's not. Jack might be flawed and all yet...he'll always be the hero and good guy of lost :shurg: It's his role and a hero it's what he'll end up to be. The others ...still unclear what they were, they were on the island just like the loties and only wanted to live in peace but it's up to you to think if they are bad or good. What about Juliet? Just another character like veryobody else, a woman who was willing to do anything to leave the island and same goes for Ben.
