I dislike Will and Elizabeth. I ship Jack and Elizabeth, lol. Noah/Allie and Elizabeth/Darcy are based off literary couples, which had something that made them rootable for me; I guess angst, tension, banter, struggle. They didn't just start off like 'ZOMG look at these two meant to be people' plus the actors have great chemistry onscreen (I like Colin Firth's BBC version of Darcy).
Besides, that applies more to TV couples, in a movie couples everything happens in 2 hours or something, so the story is condensed and everything has to move at a fast pace. When I see a couple moving at a fast pace on TV with no tension or build up, then I start to just shake my head Quote:
