Elizabeth/Juliet #27: Mitchell conveys more emotion with her eyes than most actresses get across in their whole careers.

Welcome to the 27th Appreciation Thread for
Elizabeth&Juliet

Mitchell conveys more emotion with her eyes than most actresses get across in their whole careers.

Five Reasons Why We Love Juliet:

Centric Episodes

"My favourite one for the third season is One Of Us. That's the one where Juliet
comes back to the camp, Claire gets sick and miraculously Juliet can help us.
Then you find out in her back-story it was all planned. I really like Elizabeth
Mitchell as an actress. She is amazing and I love seeing her on screen."
- Gregg Nations

Five Reasons Why They Love Liz:

When asked about her favourite onscreen kiss:

Angelina: God I don’t know, probably the girl in Gia, Elizabeth Mitchell.
Reporter: I’m a little surprised you would say that.
Angelina: Well, she’s the truth though… I think it’s just the difference. It stands out – you remember.

Thanks for the new thread!
Great title!

Bringing this over:

But if it means that they will give Jane Badler a recurring guest star role I'll be able to look past it.
I guess that will depend on what else they change, won't it?
I'm not aware of the cast and I'm trying to stay away from every spoiler, but what is the ratio of Males/Females in the cast? Or in lead positions?

Salu, do you need/want help with the OP?

Yeah, but we need to get rid of the blue.
Christie, you need to add this "Mitchell conveys more emotion with her eyes than most actresses get across in their whole careers." to the OP, where it says "Because Liz and Michael are about to hit Broadway!"

Could be, but for example there's nothing that specifies that Erica Evans's FBI partner has to be a man. That could just as easily be a woman. Or maybe they could give one of the series regulars (preferably Valerie Stevens) a sister or something.

The 2 biggest characters of the series (good guy and bad guy lead) are both women, which is absolutely awesome IMO. The problem is not the series regular ratio. That is 3 women to 4 men. The problem is the gender ratio among the recurring characters. That is like 1 woman to 6 men. That could need some slight improvements IMO.

That may be a network demand. I remember reading some articles about how networks believe series only carried by females don't work (MAJOR ).
But since the good guy and bad guy lead are already females, they may want to try to balance it out having a lot of recurring characters being male.
Once the show is successful they'll feel more comfortable to add recurring female parts, it's just a matter of watching the show succeed first.

I would love to know in what world these people are living in. I guess that means we should all watch Eastwick this year. That show is carried by 3 female leads.

Let's hope so.

Yes we should! That's why I'm very defensive about shows with women as the leads. I hate that there is still enough sexism for shows to get picked up or not because of the amount of females in the cast.
And what annoys me the most is that this is the audience's fault, because networks don't care about who is cast, if it's a quality show or not, who's directing, etc, as long as people watch it. It's all about money, which pretty much explains the situation we're in nowadays.

Yayyy new thread! Guys I am so sorry for being MIA (and for putting off the O.P) but my desktop, which I have photoshop on, has a virus and my stupid computer keeps freezing up. So it's been a little difficult doing anything on my computer lately.

I'm going to try and edit as much as I can and as much as my comp allows. It'll be a slow process but bear with me.

Niahm, thank you so much for your offer. Let me see how far I can get and maybe by the time I'm pulling my hair out I'll give you a shout.

I don't have much hope for Eastwick to be honest. Not only did ABC put it into the 10 pm death slot on Wednesday nights, they also gave it a 2 hour comedy lead-in and they barely promote it. I'll definitely watch it though.
