Aw, thank you! It's just that Jack/Kate is such a powerful love story that it makes my sentimental heart go squee. I'm not done with my fic yet, though I'll have it up by tomorrow at the latest (I tend to be very veryyyyy long-winded, though I'm sure you have figured that out already ).

Apart from the hair, Kate is so not a Monica, and every time Kevin called her that I would cringe. And I think she did love Kevin, because she did admit to him the truth about her past instead of letting it/the Marshal catch up with her - and then how crushed would Kevin have been?! That was a really brave move on her part, and she ran away not because she didn't love him, but because she did.

I really do think there are a lot of Kate scenes that we haven't been opened to. Not just the Ben-n-breakfast (because they had a long shot of her bruised wrists afterwards - how did that happen?!), but also what took place after Juliet removed Kate from the hydra and "reunited" her with Sawyer. Ben's face as Jack says, "We're done here" into the camera is priceless, because he looks scared and resolute at the same time - he knew that he had to resort to drastic measures to convince Jack to "want" to do the surgery. And was it a coincidence that Ben walked into the monitoring room just after Jack saw the "post-coital bliss"?

(By the way, how long has it been since any of them showered? Kate had that luxury in the season premiere, but Sawyer? I think not.)

By the way, all the spoilers for "I Do" are driving me crazy. I'm still confused about the "where loyalties lay" and "crossed alliances" and "earnest versus personal gain".

i dunno about J/J.. i really don't think there'll ever be something serious b/w them. prolly a kiss..or something.i think they'll grow closer and i HOPE she'll go back to the beach with him.
we need some jealous Kate. she has to suffer phisically and mentally for what she did. and Juliet would be very useful...
i think she basically might take kate's place (not i jack's heart of course) ..jack will pass a lot of time with her..sharing his thought with her..and stuff like that.and Kate would be OUT of everything. uahahah i can't wait!

Loved the Jate scenes from this week's episode. I was very disappointed in some of Kate's actions in this episode but I think the writer's are going to try redeem her. And Kate has a lot to make up for to Jack in my eyes. I got the sense that a new triangle was emerging in this episode. When Jack was talking to Kate about their first encounter the camera span right to Juilet then to Kate. If I remember correctly there's going to be a Juilet-Jack-Kate triangle this season right? Some jealousy from Kate wouldn't be bad.

i finally caught up. i love love love liz's post! i am so happy at least one of the mods noticed jate and wasn't all happy about the skex. i hate that both the mods here are skaters. they are both fair so i guess it doesn't matter.

on the topic of kate scenes we haven't seen. yea there are like a million and we might not even see all of them by the end of the series. think of how many first season questions are still unanswered. i definitely don't think kate has made a final decision. there is definitely still a triangle and hey it makes good tv so i don't mind. as long as there is hope for jate i am satisfied. i think it would be very interesting to have a kate-jack-juliet triangle. i loved when kate was jealous of ana lucia and it would be even more fun for kate to be jealous of juliet because i think there is more potential there. i am in no way a jacket fan but i do like juliet as a character and i think it would be interesting for her to come between jate if and only if jate still ends up together!

i don't think it'd be a 'real' triangle..cause i can't picture jack having something more than a kiss with juliet,but we would get some amazing scenes..
Kate needs to FIGHT for Jack now.
i think jack will grow closer to juliet..and it'll be awesome to see Kate jealous...

If anything, "I Do" has proved once again that this show's main couple is Jack/Kate. I know some people don't think so, but I'm more assured of it than ever. Why even bring up their first meeting (of which had SO MUCH foreshadowing about their characters and how they'd change each other) if the writers were going to completely drop it?

welcome ronnie. i don't read fanfics but other people on this thread do and i am sure they will enjoy it. we are a good group here.

btw: i wrote to the podcast crew at tvguide.com about what kate said to jack at the end of "I Do" and it would so awesome if they mentioned it. if you are going to listen this week and they discuss a letter from a kim that is me! i don't have much hope that they will mention me but i just want them talk about that specific line and what they think it means. also does anyone know when the new Lost Podcast will be on ABC.com?
