Very true. It really bugs me; thye have awesome actors and many of them don't even get half the screen time that they deserve.

I totally agree! Hopefully Alex will get more screentime in the future. She really is cool, and very intelligent.

She's one of the best female characters on Lost and she deserves a lot more screentime. I think it would only do Lost good if they made her a regular.

Exactly. They've killed off so many females and they were already under represented. If they have to kill off someone it's time for a guy.

Personally I think they do could do with killing off two more females (Sun and Claire) and replacing them with better female characters. One of the reasons I consider Alex so important is because I haven't been too impressed with Lost's female regulars (except Kate before they screwed her up). I think they should make both Alex and Danielle regulars and never kill them off (I'm worried they'll kill off Danielle).

But as for killing off guys, the show could definitely do with losing Sayid and I wouldn't mind seeing Locke buy the farm either. But I don't think Charlie's the right one to kill off.

not Sun - they already killed two of my favourite female characters ( Ana Lucia and Shannon) ... ... and if they kill Locke who's gonna find more about the mysteries of the island??? ...

they should start killing from The Others ... and Charlie ... and Hurley ( so he could be with Libby ) ... and Claire if u want ....

Lost has great female characters, they just don't know how to use them right. Kate was awesome in season 1 and she's still good. It's the triangles fault that she's not as good as before. They really screwed her up...but I like what we've seen from the promos.

Sun is in my opinion the best female on the island...she's such an interesting character and Yunjin is amazing. I think it's stupid of the powers that be to not use her in the right way. She needs a lot more scenes and a central place in the storylines. She deserves so much more than being background material.

Libby was awesome and really had the potential, but she never got the chance. It was the same with Shannon, she never got the chance either. By killing her they found an excuse to make Sayid background material too. I adore Sayid and it'd be a huge mistake to kill him.

Claire was great before she had the baby, nowadays she's not very exciting and they've made her background material too. I just wish she'd get rid off Charlie forever. She's so much better without him. If a character has to die, it's Charlie.

They need to focus more on all the female characters and give them the screentime and material they deserve and need. I'd like to see more scenes between Alex and Claire.

I think there's two big problems with the female characters: bad casting and making them manipulative and/or deceptive. Plus what they've done to Kate over the triangle.

Can't say I agree with that. I find Yunjin's performance corpse-like. And I hate the way they have her be deceptive repeatedly, it's more women-aren't-honest crap.

I originally disliked Shannon. I gained some respect for her after Boone's death, she showed real feeling and had some dignity. But I never found her particularly impressive. And she was another of these women-are-manipulative characters.

Can't stand the guy, I find him totally false. Plus trying to pass off an Anglo-Indian as an Iraqi strikes me as racist, kind of like they're-all-the-same-out-there-those-dark-people.

I'm very unimpressed with DeRavin's acting, so I've always found Claire utterly useless.

I don't like Charlie and Claire being together but I don't think they should kill Charlie. I find him one of the more convincing and textured characters, even though I'm not specially fond of him.

They need to focus more on the good female characters -Alex and Danielle. And maybe add some more good ones. By casting Claudia Black and Lake Bell maybe. They should have recruited Amanda Peet before Studio 60 snapped her up.

The actress is 18 going on 19 but the character is stuck at underage 16. If they could only retcon that Sayid screwed up his numbers and Danielle's message had been going for 18 years then they could hook up Alex with Jack. I think they fit each other. Kate can have Karl.

I have no opinion on Carl really since he was passed out for most of everything. They seem cute, that's about it.

Word. I totally agree. Unless Claire developes a spine then they can kill her. But we need another female character or maybe two...
