Oh yes... Okay, he was 16 at the time, but he lived in Kansas and it's so different to California.
 I'm sure that Sarah was a child of a richer family as well which I'm sure Bradin didn't have too many contact to back in Kansas.__________________

He met he on the beach. He got hurt when he was surfing and was laying out in the sand and she came up to ask if he was okay.

Same I'd guess... And in the end, he really helped Sarah to get back on track, to get the help she needed and to make her parents aware of the problems. And he somehow was the person she cared about. She even left the clinic to see him, to be with him. I know, that's not normal and it's part of her problem but she did and it meant something.
