I'll give the writers a pass on this one since the episode was a tribute to John Hughes and they were sort of reenacting his various movies, but yeah, in real life I doubt that would ever happen

I thought it got messed up a bit when Quinn arrived but by the end they were able to get back on track.

Yeah, Quinn kind of got in the middle of their friendship and business relationship there for a bit, but I'm glad they were able to get past it.

What were your feelings about the whole thing with Nathan getting dropped from the Bobcats because Clay didn't do his job and Clay and Quinn seeing each other behind Nathan's back after Nathan told him to stay away from her? That might be a good discussion

Good question, honestly, I'm not surprised bec I have feeling that it happened since Clay didn't focus on his job when Nathan asked him to keep checking in w/ others (whatever they called), but all he was having fun and stuff like that plus he didn't do what Nathan wanted.. Also, in my opinion, Clay should do separate pleasure and business bec the way he was doing was wrong bec he got distract and all that which that how he got fired by Nathan, so I can't blame Nathan since Clay admit that he knows what he did was wrong..

That's how I feel. I remember when the episode aired, a lot of people were on Nathan's side, but I also remember a lot of people acting like Nathan had no right to fire Clay and no right to tell him to stay away from Quinn.

I felt bad that Nathan fired Clay, but I thought he had the right to do so. Clay didn't do his job. I think the fact that he was so busy flirting with Quinn that he didn't even know that Nathan had been dropped from the team really showed how poor of a job he was doing. That's not to say that Clay can't have a personal life, but they were in the middle of negotiations. He should've been on top of everything that was going on. Instead, Nathan found out from a TV report that he had lost his job. Not good.

As far as Clay and Quinn, I understood why Nathan told him to stay away from her. I don't think he was being unreasonable by not wanting Clay to mix business with please and since Clay technically worked for Nathan he should've respected his wishes. Plus, at that point, all Nathan knew was that Clay slept around a lot and I don't blame him for not wanting his sister in law to get wrapped up in that, especially since she was still married and an emotional wreck. If Clay really wanted to pursue a relationship with Quinn, he should've been upfront with Nathan about it instead of sneaking around behind his back.

Yeah, exactly.. Plus I'm sure that in RL, no agents would go sleep w/ client's friends or relatives like that when the agents suppose to do their jobs when their clients told them to do or what the clients want..

Plus like you said, Nathan saw Clay get around a lot during that time and he knows what he is and stuff like that plus I don't know why Quinn was butthurt over it plus how they suppose to know about Clay's wife when Clay have too many chance to tell them, but he didn't..

But I def can see Nathan's side more than Clay even tho it was nice of Clay that he knowledge that what he did, he didn't do his job at all.. So he needs to earn it back to prove that he worked hard to get what Nathan want.. He did.. But I'm going to pretend that his conditions wasn't exist when it comes to Quinn..
