A new type of gang has taken over the troubled violent inner cities of the UK. Tired of hopeless government initiatives and bad policing, younger more focused activists respond by creating their own community infrastructure. Built around different karate clubs each gang has now garnered a formidable reputation protecting their neighbourhoods from social and moral collapse. A national truce has meant that the gangs work quietly together while maintaining no-go zones in each of their respective cities.

Power and control have given some of the gangs an opportunity to exploit their position. A meeting is called in Manchester, attended by all of the gang members. The idea put forward is to take the truce a step further, uniting all of the gangs as one single all-powerful confederation.

Through the eyes of THE PURIFIERS, a collection of smart, sassy, highly skilled exponents of Tae Kwon Do, we see how the new idea goes against the grain of everything they stand for. Led by the veteran John, the gang leave the meeting knowing that they must get back to the safety of their own environment. The rest of the gangs know, that to make the new way a real possibility, they must get rid of THE PURIFIERS.

The story becomes a gauntlet of ambushes and spectacular set pieces where John has to call on all of his experience to get his young troops safely back home. Dangerously re-routed THE PURIFIERS are forced to confront their fears and sense of loyalty as John leads them back into the Lion's den to rescue the gang members that were left behind.

An explosive, volatile & unknown terrain faces THE PURIFIERS as their journey becomes an emotional and physical roller-coaster with potentially fatal consequences.
Betrayed by members of his own gang, John begins to question his own motives and reasons for leading THE PURIFIERS into such an impossible position where the Odds are stacked against them.

It'll be a really small art house film me thinks...because all the films at the moment trying to break through are gang based or similar...

But go Dom really, trying out all these things...'tis great...
